Ron Younker is the President and Founder of Younker and Associates, LLC, focusing on improving organizations and leadership through coaching, training, and HR consultation.
Experience that matters
Ron was previously Vice President of Human Resources at Cobb Electric Membership Corporation, managing all HR duties. He has also spoken on leadership and creating great workplaces at conferences and universities.
Ron worked 35 years at Southern Company, retiring as Director of Talent Development. He managed leadership and professional training, employee engagement, performance, succession planning, and career growth for 4,000 leaders and over 30,000 employees. Ron also served on the national Conference Board Leadership Committee and the Atlanta Board of Advisors for the American Society for Training & Development.
Ron has a BBA, Industrial Relations from University of Georgia and an MBA, Finance from Mercer University.
Ron is involved in the community. He serves on the Board of Advisors for the Executive MBA Program at Kennesaw State University and is Vice Chair of the Cobb County Ethics Board. In 2012, he and his wife Pam received the Cobb County Servant Leader Award from MUST Ministries for their community work. Ron graduated from Leadership Cobb County and led the program in 2006.
Ron and Pam have two married sons and three grandchildren. Ron can be heard playing guitar on Sundays at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church.
